Hong Kong Trip Last October 2007!

We went to Hong Kong last October 29, 2007!! Hong Kong Disneyland!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bonifacio Day!!!

Start:     Nov 30, '07 05:00a
No classes!!!!!!

Hong Kong: DisneyLand!!! A place of fanatsy, adventure and world of tomorrow!

Disneyland was such an incredible place! Like what my sister said, you don't have any reasons to be sad wherte you are in there.

The entrace to the park was magnificent with a different Disney Song playing continously. There is this big fountain at the middle featuring the main cast of disney.

Since it was around the end of October when we got their, the theme of the park was Halloween with different parades and other things.

You could get a picture with any Disney Character! I got a picture with Goofy, Donald, Pluto, Daisy, Cinderella, Snow White, Aurora and last but not the least Jack, the main star of the Halloween theme!!

We rode on five rides. First was the Autopia wherein you had to drive the car yourself(even though there was a track). I drove a car!

Second was the Train that circles the whole Disneyland.

Third was the Cinderella Carousel, which would never be gone from a Theme Park.

Fourth was on the next day which was the Jungle River Cruise which was a great boat ride.

Lastly, would be the raft to Tarzan's Tree House which you would cross a river.

Well there weren't just rides there. There was a show called the Golden Mickey which was like an award show.

Attractions, like the castle at the very center of the park.

Tarzan's tree house which was really high above the ground.

Of course there were different restoraunts, shops and a lot of other things.

You can eat a mickey mouse shaped Ice cream popsicle.

Villains run amock in the park but not to scare you but to smile and say cheese.

But the best of all was the parade. There was a daily parade at 3 in the afternoon and on special occasions a themed parade like what we had.

At 7 night time there was this beautiful Halloween Parade which was awsome!

Of course fireworks at 8 wherein the theme park closes, well the rides and other attractions but not the restos and shops.

Disneyland is filled with different worlds.

First is the main street leading up to all sorts of different worlds.

Next would be Adventure Land. Woods, jungles, forests, animals and all sorts of other things and creatures you see when having an adventure.

Third would be Fantasy Land, where castles, princesses, wizards and magic exist.

And last but not the least would be Tomorrow Land, which has the best roller coaster ever the "Space Mountain".

Disney Land is such a great place to go to!!! Can't wait for my next trip.

Hong Kong: Flight on October 29

The big difference between our trip to Singapore from our trip to Hong Kong was the flight.

This time our flight was at 8 o clock in the morning and it was only a 2-hour flight to Hong Kong. Since it was morning, breakfast was served (free of charge). We also watched some 30 minute series on board.

I forgot what time we arrived but the Hong Kong international airport was enormous! It's like a whole island was for the airport.

I was so excited to get to the Hotel that I never really paid attention to the airport. When we left the airport I noticed how big it was.

But that's just the beginning what happens next...

Birthday in Hong Kong and Hong Kong Disneyland!!!

Last Ocotber 29, 2007, my family along with two of my aunts went to Hong Kong!!! It was like a birthday present to me and my sister!!! It was an awsome trip we had fun, Fun FUn FUN!!!!!

Reminiscing: Birthdays!!!!!!!

Since my birthday just flew by, let's reminisce my past birthdyas.

My oldest memory of a birthday, with the help of home movies, is my 3 or 4the birthday in Shakeys Makati. Everyone was their! I don't even know them because I wasn't really thinking straight at those times.

The next parties I remember are the parties that happened in school. I think from grade 1 to 3 I had a party at school. I even have pictures.

I don't remember anything from grade 4 but in grade 5 I know I had a party and I even have pictures to prove it. I remember that we, the grade 5 students, did not participate in the living rosary because of my party in KFC.

When I was in grade 6 I wanted to do something cool and different because I thought that I would change schools. So I invited people to play badminton and eat at Alabang. These people were Martin, M.M., Kevin, Jonica and Cedric. I had other guests but they weren't allowed by their parents. It was so fun!! (I had another one on the same year level because of the graduation)

After that badminton with friends, every year I have something planned for my friends.

When I was a Freshmen, I invited the same people to play bowling. Cedric couldn't because they had a varsity game I think. April, one of the new students at that time, joined us. Again, it was a memorable birthday.

I think Sophomore year tops all birthdays!!! First I just wanted my friends to play a DVD game my parents gave in my previous birthday but it turned to something bigger. We occasionaly go to this hotel in Pampanga called Mimosa. I invited a lot of people this time, but since it was so far only Martin, Cedric and Jonica went with me. It was such a fun weekend!!! We played and did everything!!

You've noticed that all the parties I have written above are all with my friends, well parties with my family is extravagant that I can't possibly describe them.

Birthdays only happen once a year but it's not the party that matters, it's always the company and the thought that counts.

My Birthday (2007)

  I am so happy I turned 15 last Ocotber 26, 2007 Friday!!!!!!

It was a outrageous party! I can't believe that my classmates and friends went to my house and celebrated my birthday with me! It was awesome!!!!

Turning a year older it fun and hard sometimes. I am growing older, it's a big NO-NO for everyone. Still it's life!

I never hosted a party before so I didn't know what to do with my guests but they eventually figured it out all by themselves!

Some of them walked arund my village, others watched "50 First Dates" a lot took pictures outside my house and all of them ate everything on the table!!!

Like my mom said, our house was filled with people!!! In the end everyone laughed and had fun. Some even played a game we made up! (Adrian, Thea, Aljohn, Kamille, Ethel, Jasmine, Martin and I) The PAirs Game! Is was so fun!!!

My birthday was such a fun thing that comes once a year. Thanks to everyone that attended and thanks also to those who greeted me last October 26. See yah guys next year!!!!

Stand Up and Speak Out Against Poverty!

Last October 17, we had our Living Rosary and our Stand against poverty throughout the world. Even though it was such a hectic week with exams and a lot of other things it was worth it. A sacrifice for Mama Mary and for all those who are already suffering because of Poverty. A day that I will always remember.

After the event we took shots for the film society. LIVE!

We made different banners and posters to show our fight against poverty and to remind world leaders about their promises.

Everyone in the world is doing this and I am so grateful that we could also be a part of it.

The Stand Up and Speak Out event in my school was an event that I will always remember. It was an event that wasn't just us participating but the whole world. An event that we know will make a very bid difference in the world. We are the people in our generation that want to say "We did something to stop poverty. We didn't just sit down and let it all happen. We took a stand."

Let us all stand and speak up!

My first SEB campaign!

Reminiscing: School Presentations

Of course when it comes to school there are always some presentations for projects or recitations or just presentations you got your teacher to agree too.

My oldest memory of school presentation was my grade 4 years. Well grade 4 was the level where I started to have presentation just for a class, not those major ones. I remember having to prsent the Charlotte's Web chapter with or without a script and/or present the outline of the chapters and other things. I also remember the final presentation for English. There were two actually one for Language and another for Reading. In Language we had to do this script about wrong grammar and such but if we forget our lines we would just have to make our own. I still have my script up to know. In reading we had to present the whole Charlotte's Web without looking at the script! Now that was tough.

When I was in grade 5, we were introduced to Oral Exams. We always had this presentation in CL.....I also remember in Filipino we had one about butterflies I think but I don't know if it was grade 5 or grade 6.I rememebr in Reading we presented the story of Pahiyas Festival were we had our own Halbutan. Also, the poem about the spider and the fly and the Stone and the BAg of Gold; I remember this one bacause Melvin was with Bernise and another smart one in our class, they got 95 and after that Melvin started to sing his version of "Because of You", which was "Because of me we got 90, thank you for narrating the story." we just had to laugh. In Heakasi we had our own reporting about the topics we had discussed. Well, there was a moajor presentation when I was in Grade 5, it was the foundation day celebration which was about the Stage of the Nation. The grade 5 were included in the Declamation, Talumpati, Speech Choir and Sabayang Bigkas. So for the Declamation and Talumpati we were given a piece by Ms. Jo for English and Ms. Ecy for Filipino we had to recite it with feeling for our Oral Exams and it was like an Elimination for the contest. I  really didn't know I was chosen because I was absent when Ms. Jo announced the participants for the Declamation Contest. Bernise, Cedric, Stephanie and I were the chosen participants. For the Talumpati it was Kamille and Thea. We were still included in the Speech Choir but in the Sabayang Bigkas we weren't anymore because as Ms. Ecy puts it "Baka kung anu pa ang masabi nila". All in all grade 5 was a busy year.

Fort Filipino grade 5 and 6, cause I forgot what happened for each year. I remember having to dress like a fairy for a presentation. I also remember reporting about the different parts of a book. In that presentation I started bringing prizes for those who can answer my questions, it just hit me that my classmates participate more hwen they know they'll get something in return, I got that when I wanted to participate so that I could answer the reporter's question. I also remember presenting for the Oral Exams about a story of "Panibagong Buhay". Again I remember a lay about courage and I was the leader and script writer and would you believe that I wrote nothing for myself to say in the play. I also borrowed some props for that one. So I think that's all I can remember for the Filipino presentations.

For Grade 6, now this is a question. I remember Oral Exams about a story, just can't remember other presentation after that. I do remember prsenting some stories again I just can't remember. Well we did present a dance for the foundation day. I remember Filipino presentations that I am sure was Grade 6. The monologue, the commercial with Luis as my partner. We had a major presentation in Grade 6, and it was a Radio Play of the Prince and the Pauper where I played Miles Hendon.Well, that's it.

For my Freshmen Years, I remember the First Year Monologue commercial. The Filipino Ibong Adrana small presentations(chapters), an English Story about legends, of course the grandest of them all would have to be the Blessed are the Children I think was the title, radio play for english and of course our Ibong Adarna presentation for Filipino. We also had some CL presentation one in the first Quarter and another in the third quarter. In Science, (yes you read right) we had some small skits about pollution and of course the project for the 4th quarter wherein we had to present our topic. In RHGP, we had a presentation of the story in our book, which we presented with our science lab group.

For my Sophomore Years, I remember having presentations for A.P. about the different Chinese Dynasties and the Vietnam Government. Some small skits for Filipino. I also remember having a CL presentation for 3rd Quarter, some short English Presentations about the story we read and commercials we had to spoof and a situation we had to act out. We made a song out of two poems, the poem about woman and the "Tree" by Joyce Kilmer. Again, the Science project and some small skits about pollution and the consequences. And of course the grandest of them all, the Filipino Presentation of the Florante and Laura.

Well, Junior Life is still on going but while I have my memory I'll write what have I already experienced. A lot of small skits for English, small Filipino skits as well, Cl Reporting for lessons, A.P. presentations (previous post) RHGP song, that will be coming up pa not yet done, the BOOK TALK...and well that's not yet finished....

School or Class presentation are fun yet stressful sometimes, but in the ned there something you always want to remember.

A.P. Presentatiom----Ancient Egypt

I like Ancient Egypte, well History of Ancient Egypt. In our A.P. (History) Class, our adviser and teacher, Ms. Mau asked us to present our topic and this would be our project grade. I was in the leader of the first group, which was assigned for the Old Kingdom. What we did was somekind of role playing at first I wanted them to be pharaohs but they didn't have any costume and there were to many girls so I decided to make my groupmates and I egyptologists with a major on the pharaoh we are reporting. After the presentation, we had a litle question and answer and gave a way some prizes, but the 5 most participative had a much bigger prize but they had to look for it because we had a treasure hunt. I made clues and scattered it all over the AVR. It was awsome! I really like to thank my groupmates Jeysa, Danilo, Vina, Roselle, Carlos and Jonica; couldn't have done it witnout you guys!

Anna's Group did what I originally planned but with a different twist, she and Jasmine(a member of her group) were magically transported into the land of egypt at the time of the Middle Kingdom (their topic). There they met important pharaohs of the Middle Kingdom and one of their helpers Stephanie (her name in the presentation escapes me). Stephanie was part of the Hyskos that invaded Egypt. Jasmine had this assignment about them that's why Anna said that maybe she should wear her grandmother's necklase because Jasmine wanted to talk to the pharaoh's face to face. They did but the audience have to answer and ask questions so that Anna and Jasmine could get home. Eventually they did with Stephanie along with them. Anna, Thea, Jasmine, Stephanie, Junnel, Derrick and Bojo did an excellent job! Thanks for the Award again.

The last group that presented were Tina's group. John Paul was a thief before but when he had an experience, he reformed. His experience was.....He went to a museum during the afternoon so he could look at the things he wants to steal. Would you believe that he wanted to steal the Egyptian exhibits! Night time came, and the statues of the egyptian pharaoh's came to life! (like noght at the musuem) They told John Paul all about their lives. Then they realised that John Paul was a thief so thye send him away then had a party. After that they asked some questions then we asked some questions.

All presentations were great and perfect as Ms. Mau said. I love Ancient Egypt. All the presentation were awsome and I wish I just brought my camera.......

August 31: Ate's Birthday and NOLI ME TANGERE

Yesterday or last August 31, we watched NOLI ME TANGERE at the AFP theatre at Camp Aguinaldo. It was actually a great play by the Gantimpala Foundation. I also bought a program booklet(it's small I don't think it counts as a booklet though). I love the characters and the actors and actresses that played them we're great. They gave everything they've got. Especially, one of the actors, his name is Troy De Guzman. After the play we still had to have classes but we were tired ( don't really know why) so we just read books and talked quietly during out Literature.

I had to go home quickly because I had to go to Makati to pick up my parents then go to Fort Bonifacio for Ate's Birthday Dinner. It was so fun. Kuya Boyito(cousin) was so funny! Gino (nephew) was so cute!

Kuya Boyito made me drink some beer with my parents permission. I hate that drink now. Didn't like the taste.

After dinner, my parents and I with Tita Mona, Tito Nonong, Ate Maita and Cholo(the usual family get-together) had coffe at the Starbucks at the biggest bookstore ever, FullyBooked in Bohifacio High Street or BoniHigh. There Cholo bought anything he wanted because it WAS his birthday last August 23, and I bought a TIME TURNER, it's money well spent! Really!

When we got home we watched the SIngapore cds while we wated for ate.

All in all it was another great and tiring day, but still it was so fun!

August 30: Palarong Pinoy

The final celebration of Buwan ng Wika took place last August 30, Thursday. It wasn't on August 31, Friday because we watched "Noli Me Tangere " at the AFP theatre. (We're special that's why the school can't celebrate without us).

It was so great....at the same time tiring because we cheered for our classmates playing the games...and also i am one of the SEB, I had to assist the players in their games. I liked that part that I didn't sit with my fellow DELIGHTS, I joined maybe sometimes just to sit down. I spend the whole activity with the SEB and the emcees DARWIN and ANA.

It was such a great day for another reason because..............we won in the agawang panyo game (even if I wasn't the player). Cheering for my classmates was so great! WE WON!

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows

Rating:★★★★★
Category:Books
Genre: Literature & Fiction
Author:J.K. Rowling
The last and most anticipated Harry Potter book. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. According to the news is the fastest selling book ever!
The war has just begun and everywhere a lot of people die already, the trio already decided on the mission left by Albus Dumbledore and to stop going to school but a lot of trials face them when He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named has already control over the wizarding world will Harry survive.................................well you'll just have to read, wouldn't you.

Harry Potter and the Order Of The Phoenix

Rating:★★★★★
Category:Movies
Genre: Other
One of the much anticipated movies of the year. The fifth harry potter installment was the longest book but the shortest movie. Here we see that our little hero has grown up already kissing girls and having to face a death of a love one and least of all O.W.L.S. the scary test. The movie wasn't that great well because they took a lot of scenes out from the book but still it was a ok movie.

A Great Reminder and A Fun Priest

Last July 14 we watched Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. But we attended the mass first in Glorietta. The priest was Father Arman. My moms knows him because he sometimes presides the masses in Ayala Tower. His homily was great, the gospel for that day was all about the good samaritan and love for your neighbors. These are the things that he said:

"Why can't college students love their fellow college students just because they have a different colored uniform in the UAAP games."

That was really funny and well it is true I mean why can't we love our fellow students from other school just because we compete with them in games. Why can't we love our opponent in games or politics or even for honors, it is wrong if your reasons is becaues" he or she is my opponent therefore I hate him or her". That is wrong. "Love your enemies" a great reminder. Father Arman was a fun priest not just because he makes us laugh in his homily but also his homliy is clear foe everybody. We bought the magazine that he publishes it's called "CodeRed" from 120 to 50 pesos new issue and its half for adults and half for kids.

"Love you enemies", a great reminder from a fun priest.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows

The New York Times posted a review on book 7 yesterday July 19. How clould they?! I mean a lot of people have been waiting for these and they just ruin it. I've read the article accidentally, and the review has a lot of spoilers in it. Warning to everyone who does not wish to be spoiled be careful on what you search in the internet!

Reminiscing: How it all Started

This particular blog entry with these title is about some highlights in my and my freind's and family's life. These are in no particular order. If I remember something then I just right it here.

This particular one is how I became a Harry Potter Addict.

I never really liked reading books when I was young, until I watched the first Harry Potter movie. It's like this. We were at Rockwell, Power Plant Mall. It was every Friday that we go bowling with my Tito Nonong and his family (ocassionally with Tita Niña and Tita Didi). After the game, they decided to watch Harry Potter, at first I thought this would be boring but at least I get to spend time with my cousin Cholo. In the first five minutes of the movie, I was totally mesmorize but the story itself and that's how basically everything started, my addiction to books, writting stories and ofcourse Harry Potter. After that I read the first book then the secnd and.... well you know the rest.

Ofcourse the special effects were awsome. My mom actually said it was almost real. The story was also great. It wasn't boring at the same time it wasn't that short or it lacked anything. The only problem was the kids! The robots couldn't be differentiated so my cousins were a little disappointed because there was a big difference between the cartoon and the real thing but still it was a great movie.

Seb Campaign 2

A lot of things had happened during those days. Eating at AJ's house and other stuff. Making up dance steps and other nicknames. Having to decide which position should I be when campaigning and being Thea Salazar's opponent. A result like 230-70 answers the question why no one wants to be Thea's enemy. The campaign room to room was really funny the skit is what I mean. It's like a play like what happened last year but a little different. it was really fun gaining the experience. it really was even though I lost. We are still the AKAp family this school year. . The party at Martin's was also fun since he invited the AKAP family! Anyway post more when I remember what else I want to say.

SEB Campaign

I am actually a candidate for SEB Vise-President.

The greatest experience would have to be the preparations for the campaign. Also, it was hard because not like previous elections it was only 2 days!

Last June 22, we were divided into 2 groups already. then we decided who we would pick for the different offices. Then on June 23 we met at Aljohn's house the president). There we disecussed about how we will campaign and our nicknames and some presentations. June 25, we had no classes because of the "Mass Of The Holy Spirit", we met again at Aljohn's house there we made posters and practised the presentation. June 26 was the first day of campaign, it was okay but not like today June 27 becuase we were more organised and maybe because we campaigned more on the high school.

Judge A Book By It's Cover

Here in the Philippines that is put into practice. I already have a lot of experience with it. Like when we were having breakfast at Jollibee along C5. My mom and I entered first because my dad was parking the car (he was wearing barong). When we entered nothing happened. When my dad entered, all the employees said "Good Morning Sir! Welcome To Jollibee!". They also noticed us when we left, saying " Thank You and Come Again".

The saying Don't Judge A Book By It's Cover is opposite in our country.

Singapore: Flight Back

We arrived at the Budget Terminal Airport, but before getting there we talked about our new knowledge about singapore and other things.

The budget terminal was huge! and in the 3 hour wait for our fligth, I wasn't bored because inside the terminal were little shops from souvenir shops, to sports equipment and believe or not a book store. But what was really great was the 15 minutes free internet. There was also tvs in the waiting area.

Our flight was late, I mean we arrived at around 4 the next day, we got out of the airport and the sun was already rising. I slept at the airplane (who wouldn't) but I wasn't sleeping beauty. Why? well, because the plane ride was like a rollercoaster, because we were passing through rain clouds I think and there was something about Turbelance. Then there was the long line in the airport for immigration, good thing we saw a family friend that helped us.

The trip was so much fun. I mean Singapore was so great and so different like the fact that cars' driver was on the right side and that you can go anywhere just by walking and that sentosa busses are free and that "durians" are not alowed in Singapore. I don't know why.

Well, guess that was over and with Singapore ending.............that's the sign that I'll be seeing you guys again in a building called "Veritas parochial School".

Singapore: Sentosa!!! (and other things)

The second day of our trip to singapore was to Sentosa! The whole day we at Sentosa Island! It's like the enchanted here in the Philippine's. One of the must sees in Singapore. To get there we took a mrt to Harbour Front then boarded a cable car to get to the island. Of course there is another way if you're scared of heights.....the train. But...... we decided to use the Cable Car........ and grabe super nakakatakot........ I mean I am not scared of heights but floating over waters while it's...................raining and.............. well strong winds, lightning and thunder won't scare you while you're dangling in mid-air the ground este waters beneath you might! Just for the record it was not a short ride it was LONG!   Well at least we arrived safely. We waited for our tour guide who boarded the train only. So we got drinks at the sky tower bar who our waitress was a Filipina, having her On The Job Training there. Then we went to the 4d-Magix theatre. It's like "Realto", the show was "Pirates". Grabe toh, mas grabe! As in parang may umaakyat talaga sa binti mo. Next had something to do with heights again! But it was different because it was a tower. The Carlsberg Sky Tower stands tall and proud in the middle of the island. Offering a 360 degrees view of Singapore! I can go as high as 360 feet above ground but it wasn't that scary. The view was FANTASTIC! After that was shopping again at the store of "Images Of Singapore" then we had lunch near the "Butterfly Park and Insect Kingdom". It was "Sarpino's Pizzeria". Next we took a bus from blue line (which was free grabe ung buses nila maliniss na libre pa!) to Underwater World! We saw sharks, swordfishes, a sawfish, hammerhead and the finale was a dugong. It was so cute and it kept bumping it's head on the walls. Then there was the jellyfishes that were stuck together. We also saw the whole cast of "Finding Nemo". We saw the scariest crabs ever! Grabe ang lalaki nila! Then the life of sharks. Then seahorses! Leafy SeaDragons! Sea Angels (fishes that have no eyes!)And a lot of other marine life organisms I forgot. After that we went outside to see that it finally stopped raining. Good thing because we were on our way to Dolphin Lagoon for the Dolphin Show. But before we left underwater world we saw the big sea turtles and one of them got out of the water which was so cool. The Dolphin Show was awsome. I never thought that dolphins could be trained to summersolt, to clap and to salute.

Even though there were still a lot of sights we haven't seen, we were already tired but not tired enough for a little more shopping. AGAIN! Anyway we boarded the train to Harbour Front. We were scared to board the Cable Car. Then we boarded the Mrt to "City Hall". Where we shopped on the first day. Here I bought my Game Boy Advance Sp! We had our dinner at the mall opposite the street. Then we went to Bugis Night Market. My cousin and I were already tired so with our dads we walked to our hotel which was already close by. But would you believe it we got lost! Good thing my dad asked for directions.

Well the next thing we did after a nights rest was shopping, shopping and more shopping. The mall near to our hotel called Sim Lim was a mall for gadgets and gizmos. There my mom got a good deal for her own PSP and a Game Boy Micro that you change the casing for another cousin's daughter's b-day gift. Also my sister bought a new fone.

Our send off dinner was at " Clarke Quay" but pronounced as clark qy. Anyway we ate at a boat in the river called " Lotus Grill Restaurant". The waiters warned us that we could get sea-sick because the boat was always rocking. We had dinner we Tita Elva's family, that includes all her children Migo, Manolo and the cute little Mari. All boys. Mari was 8 while manolo was one year older than me. Migo was one year younger than my sister. Mari, Manolo and I really talked much because we had same interest. But Mari was so annoying at the same time cute! They are coming here to the Philippines this June 1.

Then we got a van-taxi that we rode to our hotel to get our stuff then to the airport..............
