Yup day 4 already 'cause I was absent on Day 3 which was the Futsal Cup. Anyways.....
Day 4 was the continuation of the Career Expo and many schols came to Veritas. I got to talked with Southville Foreign University, Letran, Adamson, Asia Pasific College, UST, St. Scholastic, Assumption (with Maika Bernanrdo) and with the Techno Bus, UE.
It was half day for the high schoolers and I spent most of my day at the Career Booth. I did buy a pin and Kirsten bought me a Jack pin. I have also bought finally the VPS cap that I wanted.
Today is "By The Light Of The Silvery Moon" and well it's a grand evening. With presentations and such.

25th Foundation day: Day 2 (WIRE Both, Practice, Veritas Singing Idol)
25th Foundation Week: Day 2 (High School Dance Practice, WIRE Booth, Veritas Singing Idol, Arts Contest)
Well the second day of the foundation week celebration was also a great day with another competition, The Veritas Singing Idol and the first of the Arts and Crafts Contest starting with the pre-school.
The day started off with a final practice for the High School Dance, then followed by Lunch then the Veritas Singing Idl but eventhough it looks not that fun and tiring it was.
The WIRE Both again was open for business with games like Scrabble, Pictionary, Pinoy Henyo, Smart Mouth and Word Factory. Business was blooming.
The Singing Idol was said to be the highlight of the day with the Solo and Duet contest for the Elementary and high School.
Another teacher visited us. Sir Dong gave us his presence during the competition.
Another booth opened also in the computer lab wherein Veritans played computer games at 25 pesos an hour.
It was a tiring Saturday filled with excitement and anxiety for some and the faitful day comes nearer the "By the Light Of the Silvery Moon" night wherein the High School students will show there stuff.
25th Foundation Week: Day 1 (Mass, Confirmation, Opening of Booths, Speech Contest, Career Expo)
It was just the first day of the foundation celebration but it was already an exciting afternoon.
We always start of with a Mass, but this time it was also the Confirmation of some of the students in Veritas.
After that it was back to school for the opening of the booths and for lunch. Then I saw Mrs. Gonzales our previous principal who just retired from the job the previous school year.
After that was the Career Booths and the Career Expo from the Southville speaker. In the booth, i got a chance to talk with Southville, Informatics, FEU, PWU and MAPUA. I also got a few souvenirs.
Then before I had really finished roaming all the booths, Thea called me and said that participants to all Speech contest should go to the AVR. So we changed to our business attire and went to the AVR to watch all the SPeech Contest.
First contest was the Story Telling contest in tagalog. Second came the Extemporanoeus Speaking for the Elementary then followed by the High School.
Then finally it came: the Debate Competition between the 3rd Year Juniors Government with Prime Minister: Martin Candelaria; Deputy Prime Minister: Thea Salazar; Member of the Government 1: Alexei Sudario; Member of the Government 2: Christina Fermin and last Government Whip: Michelle Lojo.
We were up against the 4th Year Seniors Opposition with Leader of the Opposition: Nicole Aragones; Deputy Leader of the Opposition: Ana Binua; Member of the Opposition 1: Sarah Arceta; Memeber of the Opposition 2: Georgette Balubar and last but certainly not least Opposition Whip: Gleen Maglasang.
The motion was that "The Philippines should adapt the 2 party system in electing government officials.
It was a tough battle with intellectual arguments and facts and POI's but the government won!Best Debater was Christina Fermin and Best Whip goes to yours truly. The extemp winners were from elementary Mojah Galit the champ followed by Jeremy both from grade 6. The highschool Darwin for the second and the champ was Kristine both from the sophomores.
It was such a hectic day and intense competitions but:
Its not the winner that counts but its the participants!
Filipino Project Presentation.
For the third quarter our project in filipino was to dramatize a story from our Text Book. My groupmates were Thea Salazar, Portia Destacament, Carlos La Rosa and Michael Ayen.
We chose Dahil Sa Anak. Thea played Rita a poor pregnant woman whose husband Manuel played by Michael was a rich man's son. His father Arkimedes who I played (Yes, I played a Man) disowned him as his son because he married a poor person. The scene that was in the book was the part wherein Sidora, played by Portia, Rita's aunt with the help of Cristobal played by Carlos try to convinve Arkimedes to accept Rita and MAnuel's love.
It was so great and they said I did well in potraying a man. Since Thea and Michael were like the classroom couple it was an exciting play.
I love this school presentation!!!!
Retreat!!!!
Okay so I know it's late but still it's a good thing to write about.
We had our Retreat at Oasis of Prayer Tagaytay last November and all I can say is it was a great experience.
I shared a cottage. Cottage 3A with Mitchelle and Jyllian and I had so much fun with them.
On the first day we met with Fr. Mike de Silva, our speaker and he told us and taught us so many things nad so many songs. We also watched a Frenck movie, entitled Life Is Beautiful. It was so nice and moving.
On the second day, the face was filled with Fog. It was foggy the wholde day. Fr. Mike said it never happened before that the wholde day was foggy. It was like we were living on the clouds. We also slept late that night.
Last day, we had a mass to end our retreat then we watched Evan Almighty in the bus.
If I had written this earlier i would have remembered more.
I do remember the great Adoration Chapel, the maze that was so cool. I also remember we ate 5 times a day. Our cottage was never raided by ants.
It was a great first retreat. and i can't believe i'm going back there for the third time for my family retreat.
